OVERVIEW
This is another product design project I’ve made in the past, with the goal of creating a physical product and packaging in the design of a famous artist. The design and theme is inspired by the artist and painter John McLaughlin, who is known for his abstract paintings exploring division of space.

MODELING
After creating design of the product and packaging, it is modeled to scale in the CAD software Rhino 3D. The model is then used to create a technical drawing, with all the dimensions and specifications of the product. With the technical drawing finished, the original 3D model is then imported to Blender to create a digital rendering of the product, complete with realistic textures, lighting, and shadows.
FABRICATION
After the model and digital render is finished, the original 3D model is optimized to be print-ready, and is 3D printed using PLA plastic. The final product is finished once the 3D print is cleaned up, sanded, and painted.
