OVERVIEW
The goal of this project was to create a virtual environment that represented a theme of our choosing with a team. We choose to create a retro futuristic theme based on outer space. The exterior environment based off of the planet Mars, while the base structure served as the interior.

PROJECT REQUIREMENTS
- Create a virtual environment that fits into a theme of your choosing with a group.
- Design a logo for the team that is related to the chosen theme.
- Create a mood board presenting our idea and overall visual direction of the project.
- Model objects in Rhino3D.
- Create a floorplan and layout of the environment.
- Create technical drawings for 3 separate objects in the environment.

- Fabricate one of the objects physically.
- Add textures and UV Maps in Blender.
- Import to Unreal engine to add lighting, assets, skybox, and make it playable with both PC and VR.
- Compile and export both VR and PC executable files.

LOGO DESIGN
The next step of the project involves logo design. This logo was designed in collaboration with another team member. The overall design was based off of the retro futuristic and outer space theme of our project. Duller shades of orange, brown, and teal bring a cozy and old-fashioned theme. The four pointed star icons and orbiting planets represent the outer space theme.
GROUP EFFORT
This project, unlike the other ones in my portfolio, was done in collaboration with other team members. I had the honor of working with cooperative and equally ambitious team members. Working together went fairly smoothly as everyone actively communicated and participated in meetings to plan next steps. My contributions specifically were in the polishing, creating model materials, placement of Quixel Bridge assets, interior lighting, and visual direction.
While many of us shared tasks in the same category, such as creating base models in Rhino3D, we made separate contributions. For example, one member modeled the complicated exterior of the structure, one specifically cut out the buildings, doorways, and flooring, while I made the kitchen area. Since the last step required working in Unreal engine, we had to take shifts and upload the file to OneDrive to work on separately, since two people could not work on it at the same time.
